If you would like to close down your street for a neighborhood block party, follow the instructions below. You cannot close a street that is on a bus route or has a bus layover. If you plan to close your street, you will need to obtain specific barricades to be placed at both ends of the street. Barricades can be rented for a small fee from local vendors.

Southwest Neighborhoods has worked with over 500 volunteers during the last year to support citizen involvement and community-building activities. Together we secured funding for playgrounds, small grant projects, a mural, and advocated for transportation improvements including traffic calming measures, sidewalks, and bike lanes in our neighborhoods. Take a minute to review our Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2011-12. Take note of the significant amount of funds leveraged by the City’s investment through our grant agreement with the Office of Neighborhood Involvement and the number of activities and accomplishments measured in our performance indicator reports.
SUPPORT NATURE PLAY! Please join us as we celebrate spring, meet current neighbors and raise money for further development of the nature play area at Spring Garden Park. This event made possible by a grant from the Office of Neighborhood Involvement and Southwest Neighborhoods.
